Where could your career take you?

At The Pet Vet, we offer two career progression pathways, and whichever you progress down is dictated by your passions and ambitions. You also have the flexibility to switch between them or combine them. We’re here to support all your ambitions as they develop throughout your career.

Technical pathway

This pathway is for colleagues aspiring to Senior Vet and AVP roles by studying towards fully-funded post graduate qualifications.

Opportunities for colleagues pursuing the technical route include:

  1. Developing a highly specialised skill set

  2. Coaching your colleagues and sharing knowledge

  3. Participating in working groups, helping to determine protocols, policies and procedures

  1. 2021 Started PGCert (Surgery)
  2. 2022 Joined The Pet Vet & we took over funding Joao’s certificate
  3. 2024 Achieved PGCert in August
  4. 2024 Achieved CertAVP in December
